Each year student leaders are selected. These roles involve making important decisions on what is happening at MPPS and the vision for our school future. The students plan and deliver a speech in front of the staff talking about why they want and should be a leader for our school.

Presently we have 2 school captains and 2 vice captains who welcome guests to our school, represent MPPS at special events and work closely with the Principal and Assistant Principal on making our school an even better place.

Because we have an abundance of students that demonstrate leadership qualities we also have other roles that are specific to a particular area. There are opportunities for leadership in art, music, physical education, environment, radio and community leaders that work closely with the captains to enhance our school programs.

At the beginning of every year our student leaders attend a ‘Young Leaders’ conference. This is a an opportunity to meet student leaders from a variety of schools around Victoria and learn leadership skills and qualities that they will use all through their lives.
