anna 4In 3/4M this term we have been engrossed in our inquiry topic.  We have been learning about habitats and how animals adapt to survive in those habitats.  We have examined the dangers that animals face and looked at how we can help to stop them from becoming extinct.

To develop our understanding of this topic we visited Healesville Sanctuary, Werribee Zoo and the Dolphin institute in Hastings where we explored the different habitats.

At the end of this unit we chose a habitat to investigate.  We then wrote a report and made a diorama to show the main features of this habitat and designed an animal that has adapted to thrive in these conditions.

Much of our maths work this term has involved solving problems involving time and money.  We have been using money, time tables, calendars and clocks to solve problems in real life situations.

Next term our in unit of Inquiry we are looking forward learning about the science of heat and forces.
